5 to 7 products must be introduced to collect virtual water tolls
Mohammad Ali Zeighami, Deputy Minister of Commercial Services of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, also added: “Currently, the position of the Trade Development Organization has been upgraded.” We have drafted 36 to 37 resolutions, one of which is the issue of re-export liberalization. Previously, we faced a legal vacuum or non-implementation of existing laws in this area.

“Virtual water has been considered for export to Eurasia,” he said. Of course, it is suggested that 5 to 7 products be introduced to collect virtual water tolls and the rest of the products are exempt from these tolls. Therefore, it is necessary for the private sector to follow up on this issue through the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture in order for this proposal to be approved. This issue has already been sent to the Special Economic Measures Headquarters so that the items subject to virtual water tariffs can be introduced by the Silence and Agriculture Organization.
Grouping different goods to fulfill foreign exchange obligations
Nahid Dashtdar, Deputy Director of the Commercial Services Office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, stated: In April of this year, the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced the amendment of the Law on Combating Commodity and Currency Smuggling, which deals extensively with foreign exchange issues. In this law, a period of 3 months is provided for fulfilling the foreign exchange obligation, but after consulting with the central bank, it was decided to group different goods and the organization will set a specific time for each product to determine each group of goods to fulfill the obligation. How much time will the currency take?
He continued: “Last year, the deadline for returning the currency of carpets and handicrafts was increased.” This year, it is planned to review the various commodity groups and provide the necessary expertise, and based on that, from the 3-month deadline set by the parliament to the one year set by the organization, a time period will be set for fulfilling foreign exchange obligations. The Foreign Exchange Action Committee has the authority to investigate special cases for which there is no law, and in this area, the committee has been delegated authority.
Khorasan Razavi is a successful and superior province in the field of agriculture
In another part of the meeting, Shahram Eidizadeh, head of the Studies and Research Office of the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce, while briefly stating the situation of agriculture and trade in the province, stated: Khorasan Razavi has one million hectares of land under cultivation of crops, livestock and horticulture. Several products rank first; For example, in saffron and cumin products it ranks first, pistachio product ranks second, pomegranate ranks third and grapes rank fourth in the country. The province also ranks first in red meat production, second in egg production and third in milk.
Eidizadeh added: 40 top agricultural and livestock products have been identified in the province, including pistachios, saffron, melons, etc.
Eidizadeh pointed out: The study of the comparative advantage of Khorasan Razavi shows that the province has a high added value in the sectors of agriculture, animal husbandry, agriculture and horticulture, animal husbandry and traditional livestock. Meanwhile, 11.6% of the province’s GDP is physically allocated to agriculture.
